Recipe for 1 liter of Kola brew = Concentrate for 3 liters of Kola Lemonade = 10 servings of 0.3 liters each. The caffeine content is approximately that of a coffee. When bottled, Kola brew can remain in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 weeks.

Pour 1 liter of hot water (80°C to 90°C) over 100g of kola pieces and let it steep, covered, for 10 minutes. Then strain through a cloth. The steeping time is longer the coarser the kola pieces are. If in doubt, let it steep until the Kola brew has cooled down. Let the Kola brew cool completely and either turn it into lemonade immediately or refrigerate it.

The base of the Kola lemonade consists of: 100ml KolaSud, 100ml apple juice, and 100ml crushed ice. For those with a sweet tooth, add 10g of coconut blossom sugar or another sweetening alternative and mix. An extra kick can be added with a splash or a slice of lemon or lime.
